Our lead teachers hold training recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale, or AMI, the organization founded by Dr. Maria Montessori herself to certify authentic Montessori teacher preparation. AMI certification means our staff completed rigorous coursework and supervised practice in the Montessori method, not a brief workshop. Dickeyville Learning Center operates under Maryland child care license number 158129. State licensing requires background checks for every staff member, ongoing health and safety inspections, verified staff-to-child ratios, and ongoing training requirements. This oversight exists to protect children, and we welcome the accountability it brings to our program.
